Greg Ruterford je atletičar u skoku udalj iz Velike Britanije. On je takođe aktuelni svetski i evropski rekorder u svojoj disciplini, i osvajač zlata sa Olimpijskih igara. Na Svetskom prvenstvu u Pekingu osvojio je zlato sa najboljim rezultatom od 8.41 metar.

Konrad Bukoviecki, poljski bacač kugle, dobio je nagradu za Zvezdu u usponu u muškoj konkurenciji (Rising Stars), kao juniorski šampion u svojoj disciplini i svetski juniorski rekorder sa najboljim rezultatom svih vremena 20.78m (kugla 7.26kg).

Za Zvezdu u usponu u ženskoj konkurenciji nagradu je dobila švajcarska atletičarka Noemi Zbaren (Rising Stars). Ona je trijumfovala u trci na 100m prepone sa rezultatom 12.71 na Evropskom prvenstvu u Talinu za mladje seniore.

Sva četiri pobednika dobila su Zlatan trofej, a za njih su glasali članovi Evropske atletske federacije, mediji i navijači, koji su mogli da glasaju putem društvenih mreža. Na kraju su svi glasovi sabrani i dobijen je konačan rezultat. Preko 80.000 navijača i ljubitelja atletika glasalo je na društvenim mrežama.
